Mallard Creek's kilt wearing football star is community activist, too

Mallard Creek’s Brent Spisak, a 4.1 student in the National Honor Society, is the only player to start every game in school history.

He also has an unusual pregame ritual: he wears a Kilt. All day to school every Friday.

Turns out Spisak's family visited Scotland before his ninth grade year and Spisak brought home the tradition.

This season, he’s got 7 sacks, 46 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss. He’s a two-year captain and two-time all-conference pick who has committed to Harvard.

Spisak has won letters in track, football and wrestling. He also planned a 9-11 tribute at a football game to recognize local firemen and police and started a Veteran's Day project at school. He's also a volunteer worker at Devonshire Elementary Field Day events, a Project Leader for the Coaches Vs. Cancer fundraiser at his school and he participates in the Juvenille Diabetes Walk-a-Thon annually.
