Charlotte Country Day quarterback Morgan Roberts, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound senior, committed to Clemson Tuesday, Bucs coach Bob Witman told the Observer.
Roberts had offers from Marshall, Elon, Ball State, Dartmouth, Harvard and Old Dominion, Witman said.
"Clemson is getting a tall, rangy kid that's quick and that can throw the ball a mile," Witman said. "I think he has a decent shot there, I really do. If he fits with the new offense they're bringing in and he can develop physically, and put on another 10-15 pounds, I think he'll do just fine."
Roberts led Country Day to a 10-2 record and a N.C. Independent Schools 3A state title this season.

Turning down Dartmouth and Harvard to go to Clemson? Country Day? Say it ain't so Joe?
Quick? What the heck is he smokin? Funky delivery to boot and his arm is good but no better than a couple 100 other kids I saw. I'll be amazed if he sees the field at Clemson but he could have an Ivy League career. He probably is a preferred walk on at CU.
Unless I am mistaken, there are more starting quarterbacks in the NFL from Harvard (1) then there are from Clemson (0).
Makes better reads thah MWilliamsthrows more accurately than MWilliams and harder Why not
