Olympic's B.J. Gladden commits to Akron

Olympic High senior B.J. Gladden, a 6-foot-5 senior forward, has committed to Akron, Trojans coach Ty Baumgardner said.

Gladden chose the Zips over schools like Wake Forest and Tennessee, according to Olympic coaches. Gladden averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds at Charlotte's Kennedy Charter Public School, helping the Eagles to a 28-3 record last season.
