Providence Day gets state championship football rings

Late last year, Providence Day won its first football state championship in 25 years.

This week, the school celebrated in style, honoring the team and coaches with a state championship ring ceremony during a basketball doubleheader at the school.

Here are photos of the rings, which have the players names on the side.

Yawn is right. Win two games and get a ring against the same schools you play all season. PD wouldn't last two rounds in NCHSAA. Catholic would open them up.

Put those joke rings back in the Froot Loops box.
