West Charlotte basketball star Mike Brown commits to Western Carolina

West Charlotte shooting guard Mike Brown, a 6-foot-2 senior, has committed to Western Carolina, his AAU coach Kerry Sergeant told the Observer.

Brown played AAU for the Charlotte Nets and helped lead the West Charlotte Lions to their first state title since 1999 last March.

Is he another Terry recruit? He just came out of nowhere his year. I know he wasn't on the Varsity, nor JV Team 2 years ago when JT was on the team.

Shows how ignorant people are and know nothing. Yes he was on the team when JT played, but was just coming back from an acl tear. So quit trying to find reasons to put people down. Ignorance runs deep.

Mike has actually attended west charlotte all 4 years. Before you start trying to throw salt please do your research first. Genius.

What is this bashing going on about Mike Brown? He has attended West Charlotte for 4 years, and has played every year except when he was recovering from an injury as already stated. He is a respectful Student/Athlete, who has earned the opportunity to play Division 1 Basketball and earn a College Degree. He was team MVP in tha NCHSAA 4-A Championship against Raleigh Millbrook, and you haven't heard of him? Wow!

Better question for all you posters: why is his AAU coach making the statement. Also, look at Terry's record at South Meck...interesting. Also, look at hid 2010 roster...many transfers. And you wonder why people question the program!
