Va. Tech or NC State will get a fantastic player

Actually he is committed to UNC. Nice try though.

He will be a great addition to the Hokies. I have no doubt he'll continue the greatness they have showed and dominance over the rest of the ACC. See you in Blacksburg, Marquise!

When he comes to Blacksburg he'll be wearing Carolina Blue.

I think Carolina Blue ship has sailed....Hokie's or Wolfpack..

Does anybody want to play for the UNCC 49ers starting in 2013? Transfers accepted.

He's going to VT with his best friend and WR Kevin Asante. Done deal! Sorry Heels!

Yep, sorry Carolina. This is yet another ship that is sailing out of Chapel Hill. Apparently, the Williams' family doesn't want to be associated with family job offers, and/or cash advances to play collegiate athletics. Smart move for a great young man. Might as well play for a clean program AND actually win - wow, what a concept...

VT? U dont know a lot about the 2 Vicks. UNC, Auburn and VT all pay a mill per QB.

NC State in the mix??? Now that's funny.

NC State is not in the mix whatsoever - although I don't know why. The Virginia Tech commitment is a done deal. Had he not announced he would enroll at UNC in January, he would have already committed publicly. He is working his plans on enrolling at Virginia Tech. Should be official within the next 2 weeks.

You guys are sad if you think MW is going to Va. Tech.
Sorry Hokies, you slimeball of a coach and his negative recruiting do not work with every recruit.

Dear Fans, it was a great season and I am excited about my college football career. I was originally committed to Butch, however his third check bounced and the tutor who was supposed to take my spring courses is now gone. To make matters worse, the Escalade I was promised from Jordan's dealership turned out to be a Kia... I will be headed to Virginia Tech where at least I am assured an NFL career. Sincerely, Marquise

Seems like a great kid; hope he sticks with the Heels

If he is going to VTech, why hasn't he come out and said it? Remaining committed to UNC only helps Butch Davis at this point. Surely Beamer would be ticked if the kid was going to be a Hokie but was afraid to let it be known.
I don't understand that logic at all. Staying committed to UNC doesn't "hurt" them, and if he is going to VTech he sure as heck wouldn't be "helping" them. I am of the opinion he is still trying to make up his mind, and for Tar Heel fans' that is a good thing. There won't be (m)any Pack or Hokie commits at the Shrine Bowl to sway him, but PLENTY of UNC guys will be there.

It would be really funny if Marquise is using Beamer to get his best friend a scholarship. Just sayin...

it's funny that going to rpi gets you in the nfl. wow, 4th or 5th round pick and 3 yrs in the nfl is security. see what kind of education youget.

Family job offers??? You must have UNC confused with dook LOL

Cash advancements for playing college football??? He'll only get those at UNC if he signs a pro baseball contract, like Russel Wilson and Kyle Parker.

Oddly, the Hokies were harshly criticizing the kid's skills when he was a full commitment to UNC....now since they think they have a shot at him, he's the next coming of M. Vick....let's hope he has better morals LOL

The kid said in early November he was firm with UNC, and that any other rumor(s) were just that, rumor. Not saying he might not have changed his mind, as 18yo's are prone to do. Doesn't matter much to Tar Heel fans, Renner is the man for the next 3 years.

Regardless of where he ends up, I hope he excels. Except for if/when he might face UNC, that is.

What was the exact injury to skip his biggest games in the 'offs? Scared of losing or getting hurt by Butler? Rolesville? Obviously. Players play hurt. Noone ever msises big games. Fear factor for college? Something not being told. It could have been MCHS playing for the title today.. quack quack...Nobody buys the lame skip out excuse.

Any Tech fans care to comment on Williams now?

I guess "done deal" has a different meaning in Blacksburg

WHY....would any kid go to UNC CH?

that program is on life support

Did BHS put on a clinic or what? Damn. Talk about hitting the ground running? Best team in CMS ever?

Soph QB Fergusen executed with skill & Edwards ran wild. Butler def good for 2 more yrs.

Forget 2009.

2010 THE REAL DEAL.

UNC-CHeat will be on probation for the next three years. No player will wa$te their time in such a corrupt environment... including the CH administration. Pathetic!

When the penalties come down, UNC recruits are going to be as if in the witness protection for a couple of years. Let's all say goodbye.
