How do you include in this unique list of accomplishments a school that re-classifieds players? Rules should and must be followed so that records are upheld and true. One question: Is he a true sophomore or an older kid playing with kids years younger? There lies your answers. Honesty is always best.
So your telling me that independence didn't recruit? Wake up
Recruiting is one thing and having a kid get left behind on purpose is another. Re-Classification was design to benefit the "student" academically. Today a few have been using it for the wrong reasons. How are you going to have someone playing football against kids 2-3 years younger. Where do you draw the line. This is cheating. Play with your own age, period.
Langston you are a great writer, unbias, and very neutral. I was very surprised that you allow this story to run. How in the world do you compare ligit records from true athletes to private schools that do not care about following the rules and reclassify kids for the wrong reasons. Please be you and don't allow this again, or credibility will be compromised.
He just turned 16 within the last 3/4 months, last time I checked there weren't any varsity players that just turned 13 3/4 months ago. Pretty POSITIVE the kid could dominate no matter where you put him. Jealousy gets you nowhere!
Well, I don't think with the team he is on, he would dominate anything other than the very low level of football that he is playing in right now. The one public school that they have played is Parkwood, who might be the worst 3A team in the state and DD nearly lost.
These comments are hurtful and unjustified against a talented 16 year old Varsity QB. Try to name a better 16 year old Quarterback in Charlotte. Will is within all public and private rules for athletic participation and will continue to be so thru HS. There is nothing to talk about here except that he just finished a season where he threw 49 TD's and won a State Championship. Davidson Day moves up to division 2 next year and, I suspect, will compete for the State title in that class as well. Watch out Division 3.
