Butler is No. 1 and Mallard Creek No. 2 in the Carolina Preps' Top 25 poll. Unlike most statewide polls, the Carolina Preps poll ranks all the state's teams together.
West Rowan is No. 3 in the poll. Charlotte Catholic is No. 8. Boiling Springs Crest is No. 15. Also ranked are Indian Trail Porter Ridge (16), Lawndale Burns (17), Lenoir Hibriten (22) and Lincolnton (24).
