Will Grier, Davidson Day: Threw seven touchdowns in the first half of Friday's 68-0 win over North Raleigh Christian. Grier threw seven touchdown passes in about three quarters of play in last week's 61-6 win over Albemarle.
Deontae Henderson, Providence Day: More defensive love. Henderson had two interceptions, two pass breakups and five tackles in his team’s 34-21 win over Raleigh Ravenscroft
Kelvin Hopkins, Independence: Junior QB ran for 92 and one touchdown and was 9-for-20 for 191 yards and one touchdown in the Patriots' 42-0 win at North Meck. Charlotte 49ers recruit Workpeh Kofa had four catches for 102 yards.
Corey Joiner, Lake Norman: 11 catches for 165 yards and five touchdowns in a 41-33 win over Hopewell. Lake Norman QB Josh Ledowski, a North Carolina baseball recruit, rushed 28 times for 156 and score. He threw for 250 and five touchdowns.
Daniel Jones, Charlotte Latin: QB completed 15-of-27 passes for 207 yards and three scores in 51-6 win over Cox Mill.
Lawrence Pittman, Mallard Creek: 18 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns in 20-7 win over N.C. 4AA champion Butler. Jaylen Samuels rushed eight times for 130 yards.
Kenny Purvis, Central Cabarrus: 24 carries for 303 yards and seven touchdowns in 68-34 win over Albemarle.
Mason Rudolph, Rock Hill Northwestern: 25-of-34 for 267 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in a 38-17 win over Charlotte Catholic. He also rushed for 39 yards and three touchdowns.
Justin Stokes, Rock Hill: Ran for 166 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries in Bearcats' narrow 26-23 loss to Dorman, the No. 9 ranked team in South Carolina’s 4A poll.
Shaun Wilson, West Meck: Rushed six times for 206 yards and four touchdowns in 64-6 win over West Charlotte. QB Jalan McClendon, a N.C. State recruit, completed 14-of-19 passes for 306 yards and four touchdowns.

6,003: Career rushing yards for Charlotte Catholic’s Elijah Hood, a new Mecklenburg County career record. Hood had 189 yards against Rock Hill Northwestern Friday. The North Carolina recruit has 92 career rushing touchdowns, just one off the county record. Hood’s 92 touchdowns are tied for eighth in N.C. history. His yardage is 22nd in state history.
