Chris Williams named football coach at East Meck

Chris Williams, a former assistant at South Mecklenburg, is the new head football coach at East Mecklenburg, Eagles athletics director Ec Little said.

Williams replaces Jeremy Buck, who left to take a head coaching job at Franklinton.

Williams was defensive coordinator at South Mecklenburg and he coached the secondary.
There have been more than 70 head coaching changes this season, including six in Mecklenburg County.

At Garinger, Ryan Alston replaced Brian Berlin; at North Meck, Brad Baker replaced Mike Bradley; Rocky White replaced James Martin at South Meck; and at Vance, Keith Wilkes replaced Phil Culicerto.

There is tallent in the halls and he just needs to recruit.Should be able to beat Rocky River and Providence.
